Mazda MX5 Mk1 and Mk3 Racing in the UK
There is a reason why Mazda MX5 championships have more registered drivers than any other make of car in the UK. The beautifully balanced Mazda MX5 is a great car to race, an affordable car to run and between the 5Club Racing, the BRSCC and the MAX5 Mazda championships, a car that covers all levels of club racing. Whether you are a first time racer, an aspiring karter looking to get into tin tops (almost) or to learn the main race circuits or a seasoned racing driver looking for a new challenge, MX5 racing has it all.
Close and competitive racing
Friendly paddocks
Inexpensive to run
With a plentiful supply of donor cars, parts and race ready cars available, you can either build your own race car from the ground up or jump straight into a professionally prepared car, the choice is yours. Cars built to current racing regs can be purchased from as little as £3,500 for an MX5 mk1 and under £8,000 for a mk3.
MX5 Championships
All the MX5 championships offer affordable, competitive racing, so regulations are tight and regularly enforced with few and relatively minor modifications allowed. With MX5 racing having been established for over 25 years, this is not a development environment, a well established set of regulations are in place to minimize “cheque book racing” with the focus well and truly on the drivers.
